It’s finished quilt day! And look at these dapper men who kindly helped me hold the quilt. I don’t know what they’re doing outside without their clothes though, on such a very cold and windy day. At any rate, the quilt is looking very cheery despite the weather!

Economy Star Parade in Clashy Bright colors

I had in mind an older child when creating this quilt. This one has Clashy Bright colors, a connection to a long-ago created palette that continues to inspire. The colors have a high-energy vibe with a touch of moodiness from the dark, dark stars.

Spinning Stars

English paper piecing is such a wonderful project for transitions. I’ve taken it on the train, several times. Tossed my project bag on the edge of sofa after sofa. Traveled with just a few pieces that unfurl into one new star after another. The task seems to add quiet moments to my days.

Stars on my table

Even though I have made a lot of progress, it’ll likely be slower going from here. But I’m pleased! There are stars on my table, and while I waited for the longarm to process just now, I snuck in a few more seams.
