Expansion blocks!
How exciting, how exciting! Many of you have embarked on a intentional year-long journey in my Positivities block-of-the-month club. Our January block is Expansion. It’s been a small, but strong beginning with gorgeous and unique blocks popping up all over Instagram! Today I share a smattering of Expansion blocks that caught my eye in celebration!!

“#positivitiesquilt January block: Expansion. The colors in these photos are a little off—the orange is more of a melon IRL and it’s all so pretty together. Also, today I learned that my 1/4” foot is NOT a true 1/4”. So that was fun. 😖 Lots of seam ripping! But…”a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor”, right? 😉😌”
“The plan is 100% print fabrics, all Halloween themed. I probably have the most purple and orange, but also have a good smattering of blues, yellowy/golds, green, and pinks. For the background, I’m planning to use all black prints, mostly black on black but a few with a bit more color.
I’m absolutely smitten with Rachel’s @stitchedincolor design and I think it’s going to feel like a long wait for the next part of the pattern in February!!”
