Clamshell Pillow
Hey, it's another project from my Curves Class! Would you like to see the "challenge" project for Week 1, basic curves?
The Clamshell Pillow is a modern take on the classic clamshell quilt pattern without the time investment of hand piecing or painstakingly pressed-under seams. Maybe, like me, you don't want to make clamshells that badly, but you would enjoy a little fling to practice your basic curves.
If you've already sewn basic curves, this project is designed to sharpen your skills with lots of tight rounded arcs. It takes some attention, but it's nothing you can't handle. I figured that after sewing this baby you'll have dusted off any latent skills and completed something pretty to give or to get. Win, win!
And, I used scraps. Just sayin.
I hope those of you who won't be taking the class do enjoy these little bits and pieces from the Curves Class as a taste of curvy inspiration. Of course if you change your mind (wink), there's still time to sign up. Class starts February 1st! But either way, I'm glad you're here (so, SO glad in fact) just sharing this space with me.
