Confetti Quilt-Along - June

Is it the middle of June already? It seems that our time for the sew-along based on my Confetti Quilt pattern has almost come to an end. But don’t let that stop your scrap-happy fun. You’re not finished until you run out of scraps or background fabric!

We all know which one of those is going to come first, haha! Because, is it really possible to run out of scraps? Na. Just switch over to another project for awhile and - problem, solved! Wink.

But really, I do hope you continue enjoy sewing fabric confetti and I look forward to spotting your beautiful blocks via the #confettiquiltalong hashtag.

My Progress

Here I am, savoring the process of sewing my last pair of Confetti blocks. I definitely have more scraps, so I’m feeling a little sad for the ones that didn’t get used this time. Good thing that there’s bound to be a next time.

Meanwhile, something was happening that I knew you’d want to see. Elora set up a fabric shop with some great, scrappy inventory (possibly swiped). See something you like? Just ask for it by color. Service with a smile!

Now I know that you wish you could visit her fabric shop, haha. That was a fun way for us to play a bit, while I sewed, but she did get impatient with my pace, lol. She figured I should return more often for fresh fabrics. Shrug. Just like all shopkeepers, I suppose. Wink.

Well, here are my last two confetti blocks - complete!

And that’s a good thing because this little one is ready to head out to play.

Elora helped me make the first Confetti quilt and now the second one. These blocks will always remind me of sweet preschooler days. xoxo

June Prize

Creativity is its own reward, and I know you don't need to be convinced to sew. Still, it is rather fun to win new fabric, which might ignite a fresh wave of creativity! Thanks to Fenceline Fabrics for sponsoring our quilt-along.

That’s a few goodies. Our random June winner will enjoy a Rifle Paper Garden Party jelly roll, a Moda white jelly roll and a half hexagon template to go right along with them. Looks like someone’s next quilt!

Here’s how to enter:

No. 1. Follow both @StitchedinColor and @FencelineFabrics on Instagram.

No. 2. Each photo you share to Instagram of your Confetti quilt progress this June enters you to win. Tag the photos with #ConfettiQuiltAlong!

I’ll announce the winner and contact them via Instagram messaging at the beginning of July. Prize ships free to the USA and Canada. An international winner will receive a gift certificate in the same value.

Here are three of my favorite confetti quilt photos from recent days. The last one by Bobbichina is made with 10” blocks - she simply upscaled the pattern by enlarging the print outs. Super clever fo a faster finish with larger scraps!
