Mad About Patchwork Scrap Challenge!

Today is a special shout out to my Canadian readers.  Pam of Mad About Patchwork and I have put together a scrap challenge just for you!  The rest of us will enjoy seeing your creativity in action.

Do you live in Canada?  This fun, lighthearted challenge is your ticket to free fabric, a little fame and that self-induced creative high, which is of course the very best part.

 Scrap Challenge!

This time we have an 8-piece bundle inspired by September's Dreaming at Dusk mosaic contest.  Fabrics from Anna Maria Horner, Tula Pink, Cotton & Steel... a fat eighth bundle of delicious designer quilting cottons in dusky grays and purples with a hint of bright setting sun.

Now, what would you make with it?  The ball's in your court!  Seriously, start thinking because it's yours for the taking.  Three participants will receive a scrap bundle of all fabrics shown in 9" x 22" pieces entirely free.  And then you have to make something with it, to show off to us all!

Let's talk nitty gritty...  On Monday the 6th I'll announce the 3 participants, our scrap challengers.  As soon as we have your address info, Canadian-based Mad About Patchwork will mail out those fabrics, getting them in the mail by Tuesday at the latest.  Then, you must make something... anything!!!! using all 8 scrap fabrics, plus one fabric of your own choosing if desired.  So, you can add the extra fabric (could be solid or print), but you don't have to.  You do have to use all 8 scraps, but you can use a little or a lot of each.  Participants can use their own buttons, trims, etc. to embellish if needed.

There's a deadline!  Really, it's a good thing, cause that means you'll enjoy this now.  You must finish sewing your project and provide pictures by Thursday, February 23rd.    Participants can either share photos on their blog or on Instagram or email them to me.  We want to see what you make because...

Scrap Challenge!

You and your project will be featured here! On February 24th, I'll be posting about our challengers, with pictures of your project and hopefully some tidbits about your process.  That's the really fun part!  Now, all we have to do is figure out which of you are up for the challenge.

So, go ahead, convince me.  Remember, you must live in Canada to play along this time!  I'll hand pick our participants, which means this whole thing involves a whole lot of luck.  But getting lucky can be a whole lotta fun!

Are you game?
