Scrap Challengers!

Ooooh, the fun part!   Although it's always super tough to choose just 4 challengers, it's so exciting to tell someone that they are ON for the challenge.

Thanks for sharing your ideas for our Intrepid Thread scrap challenge bundle.  Soooo many good ideas!  Do remember that there's a fair bit of luck to which ideas get chosen.  My only hard fast rule is to include both contestants I know (as in, I've seen them around the vastness that is blogland) and contestants whose spaces I had the pleasure of visiting for the first time through this process.

I have to admit though, I also usually choose commenters that share pretty specific ideas.  Call me right brained.  It's ok.  But this morning, just moments ago I threw caution to the wind and chose one challenger whose intriguing comment just can't be ignored.  See if you can spot that one, OK?  Without further ado, our challengers are...

Heidi Staples, a Fabric Mutt who has, "an EPP mini quilt in mind for this bundle -- hexagons and diamonds."  Well, I think we can all agree that Heidi has English paper piecing down pat.  Let's see what she can do with diamonds!

Belle + Bee, whose Flickr stream is peppered with adorable projects she makes for her girls.  "So...here's the situation...my two bambinas (3&5yrs) are crazy avid readers and books have completely taken over my tiny backseat. I keep saying that I'm gonna make them one of those snazzy hanging book pouch thingies, but I just never seem to get around to it. I need a deadline...I must have a deadline (and a little fabric wouldn't hurt) or we're all going to be eaten alive by Junie B and Dora! Only you can save us from the mutant book mob!"  Who am I to abandon anyone in such dire straights?

Also, Erica of Kitchen Table Quilting, who explained, "I would love to turn this into a bright, sunny floor cushion! We have such limited seating in my apartment and I have been meaning to make some lounge-friendly pillows to help with our seating issue."  Very practical.

And, lastly, Jeifner of Second Hand Dinosaur who promised, "I would make the most awesome-sauce thing ever made this side of the Uintah mountains. It would be intricate, have secret codes, be small and big at the same time and include unicorn dust."  Ok, let's do it!

And if you're thinking, "she totally should have picked me", you're probably right!  I'll try to pick you next time.  Next time, we're going Canadian!  A great big thanks to The Intrepid Thread for this fun challenge.  (And, if the scrap bundle had your name written all over it, do visit Intrepid Thread to get what's meant to be yours.)

Have fun, challengers!  We can't wait to see what you cook up!!!
