Posh Snowball progress

Do you know what I love? Crisp, perfectly cut patchwork fabrics.

I really enjoy cutting because it transforms “just fabric” into something becoming more. It’s the step when I first begin to really see what will be. And then - - - quilt blocks! That’s also a delight, of course.

These are new Posh Snowball quilt blocks cut with the Sew Kind of Wonderful Quick Curve rulers. The curved piecing is not for the faint of heart, but it’s also forgiving. Once the block is sewn you trim the block to the correct size, cutting off about 1/2” all around in the process. That hides a bunch of irregularities!

I’ve been steadily adding to my collection, driven by the curiosity to see how my next block will look.

The plus pattern that shows up between the sashing is just the design wall showing through. I haven’t decided if I shall fill those squares with random fabrics, as per the pattern, or make a plus pattern with 4-matching squares. I’m leaning toward matching sets of 4 squares. What do you think?

Happy Friday, friends! What will you be sewing this weekend?
