Christmas Sewing! Ideas + Giveaway

This morning over breakfast, my 15-year-old Aria chirped, “It’s 170 days until Christmas!” I kid you not. This child LOVES Christmas. Listens to Christmas music all year long. Has probably already started knitting a gift for at least one person.

Well, we can’t all be Arias, but it’s true that holiday gift making and handsewn decorations really do make the season special. 2020 has been a challenging year, but perhaps it can finish on a familiar, cozy note.

Are you determined not to let the holidays get away from you this year? Make those Christmas sewing plans now!

Making gifts? There are a million ways to go. Here’s a sewn gift idea round-up I created years ago. These Love Note bookmarks are a favorite for friends.

Making decor? Check out my post Ideas for Sewing Christmas Decor to get you started or hop over to my pattern shop, where you’ll find my Trimmings Pattern Pack. Included are three patterns, for all the home decor projects you see here. That’s the Zigzag in the Rounds tree skirt, Evergreen pillow and Quilted Stockings. Fun stuff.
