Canton Village Kona Club Giveaway!
Since 2000
Canton Village Quilt Works has been in business serving quilters. And that's a long time in this industry! Owner Jackie Kunkel is a passionate, experienced quilter who teaches from her CT studio and stocks her store with favorite fabrics. Canton Village specializes in batiks, Kaffe Fassett fabrics, Australian, African, Black and whites, and Kona cotton Solids, as well as unique patterns by Judy Niemeyer and Jackie Kunkel.
While browsing Canton Village over the holidays, I noticed their monthly fabric club subscriptions. The Kona Club is a smart option for any quilter's stash. There's one thing I can never have too much of, one thing that's never silly to buy, and that's solids. Whether for a lining, a background or to enhance a quilt with strong color, solids always, always come in handy in my work.
When I was just getting started with quilting, I invested in 1/2 yards of Kona Cotton whenever I could. Nowadays, with the volume of sewing I do, I like to buy 1 yard cuts of solids (whereas I still stick to 1/2 yards with printed fabrics). Subscribing to a monthly buying club, like Jackie's, is a great way to beef up your stash with a nice, wide variety of solids. There are a few different Kona Solids Club plans to choose from:
In each club you get 6 different Kona Cotton solids delivered each month. Price includes shipping to the United States! (Currently clubs are not offered international, unfortunately, due to widely varying shipping conditions.) As a great practical feature, all fabrics are labeled with their Kona names so that you can easily keep track of what's what and reorder favorite colors with confidence.
I don't know if you've done the math, but (6) 1/2 yard cuts of Kona Cotton SHIPPED to your door for $20 a month is a great deal! These prices are below retail prices. Definitely a cost effective way to build your Kona rainbow. And when new Kona colors release, expect to see those show up in your Kona club shipment. Jackie's been in the business long enough to know that making you happy is the key to success!
{Giveaway}
