Guess, what? I did it!!! I finished my book proposal! Thank-you for all the good vibes you've sent my way during this painfully slooooow process. At long last my 12-page proposal and large sample project is complete, so I'm ready to make contact with the publishing world. Now finishes the "work-my-butte-off-without-the-benefit-of-feedback" stage and now begins the era of waiting and rejection. Yeah! (Really, yeah, this seems like a relief after the previous stage.)
During these last two weeks I've spent many a long, quiet, kid-less morning stitching away to the tunes channeled by Lastfm.com, where you can listen to a playlist inspired by a favorite artist. I've been listening to "Schuyler Fisk" radio, and along the way one song kinda became my book proposal's theme song. Dorky? Yes. But, strangely encouraging. (Also, let this be a lesson to you mamas - too long without the littles and you start claiming theme songs.)
